Nola Romberger is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with a concentration in Adult/Gerontology. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2007 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and went on to obtain her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2021 from the University of Central Florida. In 2022, she received her Certified Registered Medical Examiner Certification to conduct DOT exams. 

Currently, Nola works at Island Direct Primary care as a nurse practitioner where she takes care of individuals sixteen years and older. Her patient panel is comprised of variety of clientele including working adults, adolescents, and retirees. She has experience working with both cash pay individuals as well as private insurance and Medicare. Some of her responsibilities include annual exams and wellness physicals, episodic exams, as well as Department of Transportation exams.

 Prior to acquiring her advanced degree in nursing, Nola worked as a registered nurse in various specialties. These include hospital nursing on Medsurg and Mother/Baby units as well as volunteering at a local free clinic in Viera, Florida. She also worked as a contractor of Lockheed Martin within their occupational health unit in Orlando Florida. She held this position for two years and was promoted to Clinical Director during this time frame. During this time, she worked with various Federal Agents and organizations to perform their annual exams, deployment exams, and wellness screenings. Testing was dependent upon the agency, but often included vital signs, phlebotomy, PPD testing, audiometry, EKG, vision screening, immunizations, and tonometry. 

 Nola Romberger’s passion lies in volunteering and the human connection. Presently, she enjoys volunteering at Matthew’s Hope weekly and enjoys giving back to her community.
