Dr. Salud was born and raised in Central Florida. He attended Davidson College with a degree in Political Science. After college he started working in clinical research in breast cancer at the Moffitt Cancer Center. He was motivated to pursue a career in medicine and went on to complete a second Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences at the University of South Florida where he also received his Medical Doctorate. He completed my residency training in Family Medicine from Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. He has always had an interest in sports and fitness and their influence on health. He completed my Fellowship in Sports Medicine through the University of South Florida. He has maintained Board Certification in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine since completing his training. With dual certification in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine his goal is to help patients optimize and maintain their health first through incorporating appropriate diet and exercise into their lifestyle. He has worked with professional sports teams such as the Tampa Bay Rowdies where he served as their Head Team Physician from 2013 to 2017. He has served as a Team Physician for the Tampa Bay Rays since 2017. He has learned how proper nutrition and exercise, can optimize physical and mental performance. He brings these same concepts to the patients he sees in his clinic whether they are aspiring amateur athletes, weekend warriors, or looking to improve their health.
